Carole Fogg

Senior Lecturer, Portsmouth Hospitals Trust Research and Innovation and University of Portsmouth School of Health Sciences and Social Work

Carole is an epidemiologist and clinical triallist, with 20 years experience in the design and delivery of clinical research studies across a wide range of disciplines including infectious and chronic diseases, endoscopic and surgical techniques. She is passionate about designing research for maximum impact, through involving patients and the public, using a variety of study designs including mixed methods and quality improvement techniques, and exploring novel recruitment and retention methods such as social media. Carole has a particular interest in improving care pathways for older people, both in hospital and in the community.
